Hello all you servants of the black lord and his foul ilk, I bring greetings from the most recent server to be approved as an expansion for ALFA2, Myth Drannor.
Many of you have been kind enough to wish me well and I thank you all for that, I have to say that the moonsea plan has always seemed exceptionally focused and strong and I have every faith that it will be one of the premiere servers in ALFA2.
Following the events of the Last Mythal novel series, Myth Drannor has been reclaimed by an army of elves and men. My intent is to 'open' the server a few months after the liberation so that some manner of daily life has begun in the city, not just a garrison of some thousands of elven champions. I'll be as available as I can to your team on any matters of mutual interest, or even simple curiosity.
I am very eager to discuss future opportunities with the moonsea team. I'm certain there will be a strong level of cross server traffic and if my brief discussions with blackwill are any indication, the tension between Myth Drannor and Zhentil Keep will provide perhaps the most engaging persistant conflict represented in ALFA2. I for one cannot wait to see the damage we can cause |

welcome Halrin..
I'll have you know that your city of elves and elf-lovers is watched with envious eyes by the our dark masters, the Zhentarim. Well they know the tales of the treasures of Myth Drannor and for many years they sent parties to retrieve said treasures with varying degrees of success.
your new city presents either an opportunity for conquest or a threat to Zhentil Keep's continued expansion and as such, the movements of Myth Drannor are watched very closely.. if an opportunity presents itself at any stage, the Zhentarim will be quick to capitalise on it.. _________________ On indefinite real life hiatus |

I want to offcially welcome you to our external forums Halrin. I'm very thrilled that your server proposal has been accepted. My invitation for you, and the rest of your team, allows me to create a private cross-server forum for specific discussion of our border and cross-server items. Ranging from cross-server DMs to large scale DMed campaigns. And even perhaps, cross-server statics!
Many ideas here that our team will surely want to share with you and your team. _________________ ~Blackwill

Oh I should think Zhentil Keep is viewing this as a threat or encroachment. Especially since the army of the crusade shamed Scullya Darkhope when they thwarted the recent Zhent invasion into Shadowdale.
Lucky for us however that Fzoul saw the wisdom in consolidating his power by subjugating his old rival Hillsfar and finally taking all of Yulash for his own, instead of turning his eye directly on the elves.
I'm expecting a 'cold war' tension between the two powers with neither side willing to commit to another protracted campaign so soon after the last season of bloodshed.
One of the themes I'm intending for Myth Drannor is that humanoid tribes, orcs, gnolls, ogres etc may at times be given aid by Zhent agents. Kind of like how russia supplied north vietnam with equipment during the vietnam war. So every once and a while a dead orc chieftan would have a sword marked with the crest of bane or somesuch, just to keep the animosity alive. I'm interested in what you think of that kind of situation since obviously I wouldn't presume to tell you what the zhents would or wouldn't do. |

at this point I think we best hash out the terms of our rumoured cold war in secret from the prying ears and eyes of players
I forgot we were on air _________________ On indefinite real life hiatus |
