Looks really good.

I have a tun of PDFs which I can rip out images from if needed. And no, I don't have Mysteries of the Moonsea.

Although the image posted on the Zhentil Keep NPC bio thread featuring Scyllua Darkhope could be really wicked if editable.

I really dont know as yet..

to reassure you, as soon as I can get a hold of his email address I'll ask him.. and if he says no to sharing his work with maybe 100 hardcore D&D fans, well I'll remove it..

Is there anything else you'd like to know?

[edit:]
I've sent him an email with some alfa links so he can see how it is being used. Hopefully he'll respond sometime soon.

Wouldn't it be cool if he joined ALFA?
Mebbe he already did?
Mebbe Longshot = Todd Lockwood?

Todd's site.

Reason I ask is not because I think he's not a nice guy. Good luck.

Good points Thangorn. I'll be surprised if he answers though. Can you imagine how many emails he must be getting from people like us?

Todd was very accomodating and a nice guy but could not give permission for the use of his artwork to be morphed, changed or have text layered over it.

seems he has been burned before. Looks like its out for the sig or site banners Sad

I think the lesson here is, not even nice people will give you permission to reproduce/use their works.

He haven't necessarily been burned. Maybe he just had to draw the line somewhere. After that is done you can't make exceptions when you're in a position like he is, or everyone would want to be excepted.

Many artists are aloof and doesn't care for their fans. I regard his reply as evidence of the opposite.

Good going still, Thang. Tough luck and nice try and all that. *shrugs*

I can respect his reply, with the thought that all his work is tied to wizards of the coast politics.
It's a sad day for non-profit amateur groups though.

BTW. The middle piece of art isn't from Todd.
Maybe it's worth a try asking William O' Conner here?

I agree. He might or might not agree with WotC politics, but he's sadly bound to abide by their rules since he works mainly for them. Oh well..

Maybe we can have a fund raise and pay him to get our very own little piece of art? How cool wouldn't that be? Of course, that would cost a fortune, but if you like the idea why don't ask around to check how big the interest in something like that is? Wink

Yes, I know the above sounds crazy, but I'm quite serious. On the other hand I collect art on a low level so I am, unlike many, willing to pay for art if I appreciate it enough.

I'm contacting a few people I know that are really good amateur artists and see if some interest comes from there.

That's probably a less utopian idea. Wink
