Silly question;

I can make this into NWN portraits or into load screens. The question is, if we decide to use them; will they have to be included in the main ALFA hakpaks?

Nah, stuff like that certainly wouldn't. It's only hak content that players need, or global stuff (NPCs, items etc.) that should be in ALFA haks. If its load screens I imagine they don't need any haks?... or am I wrong?

Portraits aren't really needed for NWN2. But those last three shots we have in way bigger quality, perhaps they would be suitable for load screens?

check with what the alfa tech admin wants to do but I think those 4 pics should be used as load screens for the cities they represent or at the very least Moonsea specific load screens. current alfa load screens are in the haks.

What ever came of this? What are the specs for the images needed for the load screen? Lengths, width, size of file, format of file?

I believe that actual picture of art like the pictures of the cities above would look best for the load screens. I would put this on my list of things to work on if you would like.

It would be interesting to know whether WotC allow such use of the images.

The artists themselves are the ones we need to contact..

I already contacted Todd Lockwood and he was not happy for us to use his images. Kinda strange considering we are a volunteer project and cant possibly make any money out of his images anyway but there you go.

So I would suggest contacting the artist before using their work. I'd say that any pics you can download freely from the internet are fair game however..

Otherwise we can use doctored, photoshopped screenies from the cities themselves since I am using the artworks I like as style guides anyway..
